Happy 9th Birthday, Aunt Hill! 🐾🎂

Aunt Hill helping with this year’s Christmas decorations

Our gentle guardian, trail buddy, and queen of the valley—Aunt Hill—turns 9 years old this month! From fuzzy snowball pup to wise Great Pyrenees watching over the barns, cabins, and flower fields, she’s been part of every Maple Valley Farm memory. Today we’re celebrating her big heart, soft snores, and that signature “I’ve-got-this” look she gives whenever a wild turkey struts by.

Our Gentle Protector

For close to a decade now, Aunt Hill has been the heart that beats quietly within the boundaries of Maple Valley Farm. She’s our gentle guardian and loyal friend - a snowy white shadow who moves through the flower fields with grace, keeping watch over every petal, every pond ripple, and every guest who wanders down the gravel road.

She has a way of reminding us to pause - to breathe in the crisp mountain air, listen to the rustle of the trees, and feel the peace that only a valley like ours can offer. Whether she’s leading us along the nature walk at dawn or lying in a patch of afternoon sunlight near the barn, Aunt Hill carries the calm of this place wherever she goes.

To our guests, she’s the warm welcome just beyond the gate. To us, she’s family - steadfast, loving, and wise beyond her years. She’s weathered seasons of bloom and snow, watched laughter echo across the fields, and stood quietly through every sunrise and storm.

If you happen to spot her on your next visit, give her a boop or even a wave; she’ll lift her head, wag that fluffy tail, and return to her peaceful watch over the valley she calls home, that is, if she isn’t already hanging out with you at your cabin!

Happy 9th Birthday, Aunt Hill.
Here’s to more naps in sunbeams, quiet night watches, muddy pawprints, and miles of gravel-road adventures. You’ve filled this farm and all our hearts with love and years of comfort and security. 💛🐶

We love you ;-)
